The Wicked Fast Marathon & Half Marathon begins at Joan McQueen Middle School in Alpine, California, setting runners up for a smooth, fast, all-paved course from start to finish. Athletes head south on Tavern Road, turn left onto South Grade for several miles, a quick out-and-back on El Tinge, left on South Grade, then continue westbound along Alpine Boulevard before heading south again on Tavern Road toward Dehesa Road. Half-marathoners will enjoy a speedy descent all the way to the finish at Sycuan Casino, while full marathoners continue along Dehesa Road to Willow Glen, complete a U-turn, and return to the same exciting finish line. With an approximate 1,150-foot net drop and no Boston time penalties, this course is built for speed—just plain wicked fast.
